Yes, I just made a Flintstones joke. But at least the work on the palazzo is no joke! Just take a look at the inside. The crew has been hard at work stripping the walls down to bare stone.
I can only imagine the buckets and buckets of debris they’ve hauled out of that place. And if you notice from several of the pictures, they’ve been very careful to keep the vaults nicely intact as well as some of the niches and original touches we wanted to preserve.
We’re still a ways off before electrical gets cut in, and then a layer of insulating plaster goes back on. But we’re always happy seeing things progress.
