In living color

After months of back and forth with the Comune, we finally have a color approved!

We originally wanted a nice golden yellow that’s prevalent here in Italy. The Comune decreed it must be red, since that was apparently the historical color. After some time thinking about it, we got excited about a big bold red. But the final approved color is more an orange – a color we had initially thought about way back at the start.

So all in all, we’re happy with it. A neighbor’s house 4 or 5 houses down shows roughly what it’ll look like when it’s up on our palazzo.
