It’s been forever since we last posted. You’ll find out why in a second. But since our last post, things had been moving along! You can see the roof progress in the photo above, more demo and cleanup on the inside, and painting was about to start on the outside. And then…
Our contractor got arrested. Not our specific one, but some people from his office. We don’t know exactly what the charges are, and we’ve been assured it has nothing to do with our specific project, but it’s still ground everything to a halt.
Messages aren’t being returned. Work has stopped. At this point, we know very little about what’s going on and when they’ll be cleared to start working again. Nikko ventured out there this week and did see that our first big round of tax credits are recorded, so that’s good. But we don’t have clarity on if they’ve already been sold to someone or not.
So it’s more sitting and waiting for our lawyers to investigate, while the tax rebate amounts keep getting cut by the government, and our project’s viability is up in the air.
